Lancaster Bail Bonds Process
When a person is arrested they will be brought to a central processing unit where their identity will be verified and he/she will wait to see a magistrate judge. Once he/she has seen a magistrate judge, he/she will be made aware of his/her charges, have plead “guilty” or “not guilty” and a secured/monetary bail amount will be set. He/she will be held in the Sheriff’s Booking center while awaiting transport to the Lancaster County Prison. He/she will remain in the Lancaster County Prison until his/her next scheduled court date. He/she can be released if his/her bail is posted and does not have to sit in jail while attending his/her court dates.
Once the Lancaster Bail Bonds have been set, a Lancaster Bail Bonds Agent can be contacted to post the bond. We will guide you through the process and necessary requirements to have the bond posted. Most bonds will only require a small down payment and one working co-signer. Once the application process is completed, one of our Lancaster County Bail Bonds Agents will post the bond at either the Lancaster County Jail or Court. This can usually happen the same day.
Once the person is released from the prison, he/she must complete their portion of the Lancaster Bail Bonds Application. He/she will receive instructions to follow while released on bail and must attend all scheduled court dates. He/she will be required to check-in by phone on a weekly basis with A+ Bail Bonds and adhere to all other Lancaster Bail Bonds Conditions of Release.
